The politics of COVID-19 is gaining momentum as the spread of the disease is covering almost all corners of the world.

USA has blamed China for downsizing the Covid-19 cases and fatalities in the country.

North Korea has officiated no any case of the disease, despite its huge trading & large scale people to people ties with China, a country worst hit by coronavirus at least since January.

Trump adminstration has fired the Captain of one of its aircraft carrier warships, alleging the captain of disgracing the US government as ‘irresponsible’. However, the Captain only called for stringent measure and cautions to be given to US army offshore, emphasizing to US military officials that Covid-29 is risking the US navy of a peace time death.

Politicization on fatal diseases like Covid-19 is neither immoral nor inhumane, but cruel altogether.

As the Covid-19 spread takes root in Ethiopia, perhaps in the upcoming weeks and months, the government has to shy away from such coronavirus politics. And the real threat of COVID-19 should be made Public.

Since the last one month or so, precautionary awareness creations on COVID-19 haven been in place all over Ethiopia. I think enough has been done how to protect oneself from getting contracted of the virus.

Thenceforward, the people of Ethiopia should be made clear on the real threat ahead of them.

In this regard, the government of Ethiopia has to note that equally important in interventions to save public lives from Covid-19 is publicizing the real threat of damages without hide.

Therefore, the true size of Covid-19 cases, its prevalence and the fatality rates should be measured in conservative estimates, and the information has to be made public.
