Two immortal names in the World of Football, that the world never forgets and shall be remembered on such occassions like New Year Celebrations are : Brazilian football magic – Edson Arantes do Nascimento (a.k.a. Pele), who has departed on the 29th of December, 2022 – and the Argentine artistic football talent – Diego Armando Maradona, who passed away on the 25th November, 2020.
Pele is the only player to win the FIFA World three times (in 1958, 1962 amd 1970). In his football career from 1957 to 1977, Pele has scored 1,281 goals in 1,363 games
However, FIFA, world’s top football governing body, has acknowledged 762 of his goals in his rankings on the list of all times top goal scorers
As of December 31, 2023, Pele ranked the third top goal scorer of all times, next to Chrstiano Ronaldo (Scored 873) and Lionel Messi (Scored 821)
Another giant name in the World of Football is Diego Armando Maradona, who passed away on the 25th of November 2020. Maradona was Co-Winner of the FIFA Player of the 20th Century award with Pele
In his football career from 1976 to 1997, where Maradona made 680 appearances as player for clubs and Argentina’s National Football Team, he has scored 345 goals for club and country combined

2. Inventor, designer entrepreneur Steven Paul Jobs (a.k.a Steve)
One of the immortal names the world remembers on such occassions like New Year Celebrations is an American inventor, designer, and entrepreneur, Steven Paul Jobs, who co-founded Apple Computer Company (now Apple Inc.) with Steve Wozniak in 1976. Steven P. Jobs has departed on the 5th of October, 2011

Another immortal name the world ought to remember on the 2024 New Year Celebrations is South Africa’s Anti-Apartheid Activist, the First President of the Republic of South Africa and World Nobel Peace Laureate, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, who departed on 5 December, 2013

Queen of Soul Music genere, Aretha Louise Franklin, who departed on the 16th of August, 2018 is another music giant to remember while we celebrate the New Year-2024
