The concern of abducted female students in western Ethiopia should not be politicized. The issue should not be subjected to affiliations with abductees as a family, friend, neighbour, shared identities like sex, ethnicity, religion, citizenship or whatever.
To condemn the infliction against these young and hopeful girls, the affiliation should be humanity.
As a matter of fact, the infliction happened against these hopeful girls is a mind rape. Raping a mind is nothing but robbing one’s hope, and hence denying his/her future.
In essence, there is no more cruelty than raping the mind of a humankind. Because, no one can stand while his/her mind raped. Hence, justifying the abduction of these young girls is inhumane.
Above all, any failure to condemn such barbaric act amounts perpetrating with homiciders against virtues of humanity!
Therefore,
Let’s all shout for the release of abductees! Let’s all voice against the growing impunity in Ethiopia!
